The Louisiana Association for Institutional Research (LAIR) consists of institutional research professionals and like-minded professionals from both the 2-year postsecondary community colleges (Louisiana Community and Technical Colleges System (LCTCS)) and the four 4-year postsecondary institution systems: Louisiana Association of Independent Colleges and Universities System (LAICU), Louisiana State University System (LSU), Southern University System (SUS), and University of Louisiana System (ULS). The Louisiana Board of Regents are also participants of LAIR.

These Institutional Research professionals are committed to promoting the field of institutional research and advancement in the State of Louisiana so we can move forward with our statewide post-secondary educational goals in both the private and public sectors. LAIR professionals’ areas of expertise include organizational research, strategic planning, policy analysis, reporting, and analyzing data for postsecondary schools. LAIR not only strives to offer professional development opportunities to its members; but to provide the opportunity to get acquainted with others who work in the institutional research field for the sharing of experiences and expertise, relaying of information, and for the exchanging of ideas on problems of mutual interest. LAIR provides the information needed for keeping up-to-date on regional, state, and national institutional research reporting, requirements, and other activities. LAIR endeavors to help all of its members contribute to the advancement of post-secondary education, while providing an interconnected essence of unison and teamwork between all individuals who have an interest in and/or activities associated to institutional research, planning, and assessment.

LAIR is associated with both the Southern Association for Institutional Research (SAIR) and the Association of Institutional Research (AIR); comprised of post-secondary institutions throughout the United States and the world.
